Background

Henley Heights Construction was established in 1986 by Laurus Sinke and his father John. This partnership continued until 2001, when John Sinke retired. A background in concrete work and framing, combined with an interest in developing small infill properties within city boundaries, led to construction of the first model home in 1990.

A desire to meet the individual needs and tastes of each client has directed the focus of the company towards construction of custom homes. The design of homes constructed by Henley Heights Construction, together with attention to detail and personal service given by Laurus Sinke, has been instrumental in establishing a discerning clientele. The quality of construction and innovation of design used in building custom homes have resulted in requests to construct light industrial buildings, and special needs care facilities. Single family, semi-detached homes, and duplexes have also been built to establish and expand the rental portfolios of a small handful of repeat customers.

Dear Customer,

My commitment to personal service means that I am involved personally in all aspects of the project. This begins with preliminary discussions about budgeting, design, and potential building sites. My involvement continues throughout the construction process, collaborating on a daily basis with you, trades-people, and municipal building officials. Regular site meetings are organized to discuss rough-ins (electrical, plumbing, etc) and details concerning the construction of your home. My customers will also testify to their satisfaction in after-sales service, showing that my personal involvement does not end at final inspection. In addition, every home is registered and warranted through TARION Warranty Corporation.

I like to be involved in all aspects of the project so that I can ensure the highest quality and attention to detail possible. I feel that larger companies do not have the same ability to maintain personal involvement, and for this reason I will not take on more than two or three projects at a time. This enables me to maintain the high level of service and interaction that my customers have learned to expect from me.
